Long term results

Extensive testing

We have undertaken extensive off site durability testing of specialist Duplex and Triplex systems to ensure the long term results our clients look for.

We offer certificates of conformity to your specification requirement and durability on Duplex and Triplex Coating Systems on specifically approved products and Interpon D Products, and are pleased to be recognised as a certified applicator for Tiger Coatings UK Limited and AkzoNobel Powder Coatings Ltd.

Powder Quality

Our powders are stored in a dry, suitable place at the appropriate temperature and expiry dates are frequently checked to ensure premium quality.

PPC Curing

We use Datapaq to record the temperature/time of our curing ovens in order to ensure the best quality for every product we cure.

This data allows us to question:

  • Are we achieving full cure?
  • Is the oven running at the correct temperature?
  • Are there any hot/cold spots?
  • Is the top of the oven the same temperature as the middle and bottom?
  • Can we increase the line speed or reduce the temperature without adversely affecting the cure?

Aluminium and Steel Tests

Our quality tests for aluminium and steel products include:

  • Minimum 40 microns in the thinnest area, like remote corners, generally look for 60 microns.
  • For exterior applications, primer is applied in addition which receive a total if approximately 120 microns.
  • There is always an element of variation between different substrate area.
  • Cross hatch pass or fail, if fail elements would need to be stripped and process starts again.
